GENTING - City Of Entertainment has another exciting attraction in November, specially for magic enthusiasts of all ages.
The event is a gathering of the world's top magicians.
They will be participating in the Champions of Magic Show and the Stars of Magic Show which feature established as well as budding magicians. The magicians will be competing for the grand prize of US$10,000 (RM34,300).
The event is expected to attract youngsters and the young at heart from around Malaysia. It is officially recognised and supported by the International Brotherhood of Magicians (IBM).
With over 300 groups called Rings, in more than 73 countries, the IBM is the most respected organisation for amateur and professional magicians.
Resorts World Bhd executive vice president Alan Teo said: “Genting - City Of Entertainment is excited to bring this unique event for visitors this November.
“It will be a congregation of the best international magicians and illusionists that should not be missed by the whole family and is the first of its kind in Malaysia.”
During the magic festival, there will be strolling magic artistes such as Michael Ammar, the world's leading close-up magician and Jon Armstrong who was voted this year's Close-Up Magician Of The Year by the Academy Of Magical Arts.
There will also be daily magic seminars, competitions and workshops for children and adults.
The Genting International Magic Festival 2007 is presented by DiGi with the support of Proton, ntv7 and Worldcard.
The workshops are at 3pm while the main shows are at 8pm (Nov 16 to 18), 2.30pm (Nov 24 and 25), 3pm (Nov 17 and 18) and 7.30pm (Nov 23 to 25).
The champions show is at 9pm (Nov 23 to 25) and 5pm (Nov 24 and 25).
Tickets are priced RM30 and RM20 (children) for the workshops, RM110 and RM70 (children) for the main shows and RM220, RM160, RM110 and RM70 for the champions show.
